The long awaited Woo 4.0 is coming to New Zealand!
WOO 4.0 is the new standard for jump tracking in kiteboarding, and the tool of choice for those yearning to progress their boosting skills
Technical commentary
Start with wireless charging. It not only adds an element of “sleek and sexy” to our product, but eliminates the need for charging pins - often a source of trouble and frustration for our customers. That in itself would be a massive upgrade, but we didn’t stop there.
Over 30 areas of our mechanical design have been improved for waterproofing. I am confident to say that the strength of the WOO 4.0 has been improved 10X over 3.0.
We implemented the latest, cutting edge motion sensor technology into WOO 4.0. This sensor isn’t available to the mass market, and boasts an average of a 5X improvement over WOO 3.0 on all relevant metrics (sample rate, resolution, noise etc.). Further, the accelerometer and gyroscope are now synchronized via an external, high precision oscillating crystal.
The WOO 4.0 boasts a new dual core, multithreading enabled processor, with 16X more RAM memory compared to WOO 3.0. This makes the WOO faster, allows for more sophisticated algorithms, and saves power.
Battery life has increased at least 3X, to over 24hrs of logging on one charge, and the new Auto Shelf Mode preserves the battery when the WOO is left untouched in the offseason. Further, a new OptimGauge ™ microchip delivers a highly accurate measure for the amount of charge left on the battery. Last but not least, WOO 4.0 charges about 50% faster compared to 3.0.
The Synchronous Smart Watch connection guarantees every jump is displayed on the Watch, no matter if the board dips underwater.
Bluetooth Transmission speed has improved 2X, and LED brightness has been improved 50%.
New features allow users to adjust LED brightness or give their WOO a custom name.
Pre-Order information
The first batch of the new product will ship in early July. The retail price will be set at NZ$425.
